Top 12 Movies in 2012


1. Dabangg 2
Dabangg 2 is the sequel of Dabangg. The plot will move away from the UP hinterland into a large city, probably Mumbai. Sonu Sood will play a double role in the sequel.

2. Dostana 2
Dostana 2 is a comedy produced by Karan Johar. It is the sequel to the 2008 film Dostana. Katrina Kaif will reportedly play the female lead, replacing original actor Priyanka Chopra. The setting of the sequel has been relocated from Miami to London.

3. Son Of Sardar
S.O.S.- Son Of Sardar is a romantic comedydirected by Ashwani Dhir, and with a starcast including Ajay Devgn and Sonakshi Sinha. The movie produced by Ajay Devgn is remake of Telugu Flick Maryada Ramanna which again is inspired from Hollywood Flick "Our Hospitality".

4. Race 2
Race 2 is an action thriller to be directed by Abbas-Mustan. It is the sequel to the 2008 hit film, Race, starring an ensemble cast that includes Anil Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan, John Abraham, Deepika Padukone, Jacqueline Fernandez, and Ameesha Patel. It is all set to release on November 30, 2012.

5. Ek Tha Tiger
This will be Salman Khan's first venture with Yashraj Films, whereas his father, Salim Khan, has written Trishul (1978), Kaala Patthar (1979) earlier for the banner. Also, director Kabir Khan teams up with Katrina Kaif and Aseem Mishra again after the successful New York.

6. Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai 2
The film is a sequel to Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai, a 2010 Bollywood crime drama film directed by Milan Luthria and produced by Ekta Kapoor.  It is believed that after a lot of negotiation, Akshay has finally agreed to be part of the sequel.

7. Heroine
The film is an entertaining, daring, emotional, shocking, glamorous, scandalous behind the scenes account of the reality behind the world of glitz and glamour that our film stars inhabit. For a country obsessed with films and film stars, Heroine will take audiences on a voyeuristic journey to see what really goes on behind the closed doors of make up rooms and vanity vans.

8. Bol Bachchan
In January 2011, it was revealed that film is a tribute to the original Gol Maal (1979) directed by Hrishikesh Mukherjee with Abhishek Bachchan playing the role of Ram Prasad, essayed by Amol Palekar in the original and Ajay Devgn playing the role of Bhawani Shankar (Utpal Dutt). Asin Thottumkal has been roped in for the female lead.

9. Rowdy Rathore
Rowdy Rathore is an action film directed by Prabhu Deva starring Akshay Kumar and Sonakshi Sinha in the lead roles. Produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Ronnie Screwvala, the filming started on 10 August 2011. It is the third remake of the Telugu film Vikramarkudu.

10. Barfee
Barfee is a romantic comedy directed by Anurag Basu, and starring Ranbir Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra and Ileana D'Cruz. In the film, Ranbir Kapoor reportedly plays the role of a deaf person, while Priyanka Chopra plays the role of a mentally challenged girl. While, Ileana D'Cruz will play the role of the narrator. Its release date has been pushed to May 2012.

11. Agneepath

In a small Indian village Mandwa, Vijay Dinanath Chauhan (Hrithik Roshan) is taught by his principled father about the path of fire - AGNEEPATH. His life is completely shattered when the evil drug dealer Kancha (Sanjay Dutt) hangs his father to death. Vijay leaves for Bombay with his pregnant mother and has only one mission in life- to come back to Mandwa and bring back the glory of his father's name. cast: Hrithik Roshan, Priyanka Chopra, Sanjay Dutt, Rishi Kapoor.

12. PLAYERS
The dynamic director duo Abbas-Mustan are back to enthrall the audiences one again with the lean and mean heist flick Players . The movie is the official remake of the 2003 Hollywood blockbuster, THE ITALIAN JOB and promises to be just as much of a thrilling ride! With a stellar cast of Abhishek Bachchan, Sonam Kapoor, Neil Nitin Mukesh, Bipasha Basu, Bobby Deol, Sikander Kher and Omi Vaidya, this remake promises to pack one heck of a punch.
