Fun ways to shed weight


If you are bored of going to the gym, try these fun activities to stay fit.

For those who aren't fitness freaks, going to the gym and doing the regular work-outs can get a tad boring. Running on the treadmill, cycling and weight training can get monotonous, leading to skipping gym or discontinuing it altogether. But staying fit need not be a tiresome act. Try these fun activities and stay fit.

Take a healthy break: It's your weekly off from work. Instead of skipping the gym and staying back home sleeping, binging and lazying on the couch, go for a fun trek with your friends. Trekking will keep you physically active and also it will give you a good break. You can spend some time amidst nature.

Fun with water: Put on your swimwear and take the plunge. Swimming is not just fun, but a great way to get fit.

Get sporty: Form a group with like-minded people who enjoy playing your kind of sport. Go out for your weekly session. You could play gully cricket, badminton, basketball, volleyball or any sport that is physically challenging.

Aerobics: Aerobics itself has a wide range of options to choose from. Try aqua aerobics, step aerobics, dance aerobics, sports aerobics, hip-hop aerobics or aerobic kickboxing to burn some calories in a wonderful way.


Hoop your way: Train yourself to use the hula hoops. It's a fun way to attaining a slimmer shape.

Dance baby, dance: Nothing works better than dancing your way to a fitter you. With different songs and different steps, dancing can never get boring.
