The actress signs the director's next which may also star AamirRajkumar Hirani's directorial next has been perhaps one of the most anticipated projects of recent times. In 2009, the minute Hirani was done with 3 Idiots, speculations regarding his next project began. And though what the director has in mind, as far as the story is concerned, is still unclear, Mumbai Mirror has found out that he has surely found himself a leading lady. For Hirani's next project Peekay, the filmmaker has chosen YRF favourite Anushka Sharma. The actress' close friend confirmed the news.
A source close to the project informed Mirror, "Hirani and Anushka had a couple of meetings recently. Hirani considers Anushka to be a very talented girl. He feels she has a lot of spunk."
According to the source, Aamir Khan, who starred in Hirani's last film, may make a comeback as the male lead in the project. "That is almost final. But let's see. An official announcement with respect to the male actor will be made soon," added our source.
Talking about the Hirani project, Anushka's friend added, "This is a very big step in Anushka's career. A few months ago, she signed Vishal Bhardwaj's Matru Ki Bijli Ka Mandola. Now, she is doing Munnabhai director Hirani's next."
