Quick steps to improve your posture

Keep few things in mind while sitting in office for prolonged hours.

When your job requires you to sit for long hours at a stretch, it becomes imperative to have the right posture. If proper care is not taken, then you could suffer from pain, fatigue and even stress. Bad sitting posture can also lead to severe backaches and muscle pain, or can develop arthritis. A few pointers in mind can help you get rid of back pain or arthritis.

Step1. Align the height of the chair according to the monitor. Your elbow should be at the level of the workstation. This will avoid leaning forward or slouching. And will help you sit straight in front of the computer. Keep your shoulders straight.

Step 2. The chair which is used should be designed to support the back and it should custom fit you.

Step 3. It is also said that arm should be flexed and elbow should be at 75 to 90 degree angle.

Step 4. Your feet should be firm on the floor without crossing your legs or ankles. The bent of you knees should be at the same height as your hips. You should allow your weight to be distributed equally.

Step 5. If you have a slightly bigger hip and you aren't getting the right posture, use cushion for a support as it helps in supporting your back.

Step 6. Make sure that you don't sit on a chair for a long time. Every half an hour one should just go for a small walk and stretch for a bit if necessary.

Now, just sit back and relax without giving too much of stress to yourself.
