Bollywood actresses get wooed by Lavni!

Looks like Katrina has spearheaded the revival of Lavni movement in Bollywood!
It was Marathi film 'Natrang' which revived the magic of Marathi folk dance 'Lavni'. Ajay Atul's lavni beats took the nation by storm.

Soon the duo recomposed 'Kombdi palali' in Hindi and Katrina took 'chikni chameli' to another level.

Post Madhuri Dixit, Lavni almost disappeared only to make a comeback through Karan Malhotra's Agneepath.

Vidya Balan is the next to attempt a lavni, her first item number in Ferrari Ki Sawaari. The crew members of Ferrari Ki Sawaari say that the aim of the song is not to be 'sexy' and draw the attention of the crowd. Instead they have gone for a more 'aesthetic' look.

Vidya will be performing a Lavani number - a cocktail of matkas and jhatkas. The makers of the song are insistent that this Item Number will be different from the item number from Agneepath, with the oomph factor being downplayed by the aesthetics of Vidya's dance.

Rani Mukherjee will be dancing on Vaibhavi Merchant's tunes as she too does a lavni in Aiyya, her forthcoming Hindi film.
